Acrylic on canvas
210cm x 140cm
I took inspiration for this piece from the ripples on the water surface caused by the falling of water droplets on it – a seemingly uneventful occurrence that has reverberating impact on a large body of water. All of us are but one person in this world of 7.9 billion inhabitants. It may seem like an infinitesimally small number, but don’t forget that your presence and actions are just as impactful as the reverberations caused by a single drop of water – always remember that.
This artwork can also be displayed either in the landscape or portrait orientation, and its versatility is also part of its transformative nature.
About the ‘Transformation’ collection
Inspired by the journey of transformation and renewal, I first started working on this collection whilst on a sabbatical in Brittany, France. In the ‘Transformation’ collection, I play on creating water colour textures with acrylics, and allow the colours and textures on the canvas to speak for themselves. I start each piece in the collection not knowing how the final product will look, and the organic creation process is in itself a journey of transformation for the canvas and acrylics.
Each piece in the collection represents a different transformation story, and I hope it resonates with your own personal journey, and the story that you represent.
